Salar Smokehouse at Loch Carnan has been shortlisted in four categories for the prestigious Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards.
Mothballed in last year with the loss of seven jobs, the business has been revived by former staff who bought the smokehouse from previous owners Loch Duart.
Now in their twelfth year, the awards include categories ranging from the Young Shining Star, Restaurant of the Year, Export and Healthier Food & Drink.
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Inverness, hosted by comedian and broadcaster Fred MacAulay, in October.
Iain Macrury, Managing Director of Salar Smokehouse, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the awards and to be shortlisted in four categories is fantastic achievement and testimony to the skills, hard work and dedication of our staff who continue to ensure we offer only the finest quality products.”
