Grimsay Community Association (GCA) has received a funding boost for the second phase of development at Ceann na h-Airigh, which will include the cafe and local food programme.
£72,500 has been awarded to GCA from the Big Lottery Fund’s Medium Grants Scotland programme.
This grant will allow GCA to deliver a cafe franchise, community growing space with a Keder greenhouse, improved parking, environmentally friendly water treatment and events and activities delivered through a new Local Food and Environment Programme.
Announcing the funding award Big Lottery Fund Scotland Chair, Maureen McGinn, said: “I am delighted that Grimsay Community Association is one of 60 groups sharing in our latest grants totalling over £17 million. This is life changing money, which will support communities across Scotland and I wish Grimsay Community Association every success as it goes on to develop and expand this valuable project.”
