I am a landscape artist, painting in an abstract expressionist style, combining photographs and photograms in my finished pieces.
I discovered recently that I am using a form of synesthesia, where I can taste the colours, smells and sounds around me.
I feel art is all about communication. I communicate, expressing my feelings about the world around me by deeply exploring a place.
I spend a long time alone out in the landscape imbibing or absorbing as much of it as possible, recording the moments by photographs, words, and fast drawings, capturing the feelings of aloneness in a place, using all of my senses.
