HAVE YOUR SAY about YOUR COMMUNITY

There are two connected plans currently being drawn up in your area.

One is about land use over the next 5-10 years (Local Development Plan);  the other is about community led projects that will bring change to the area (Local Outcome Agreement).

Those responsible for drawing up the plans have come together to offer you the opportunity for your contribution.

Some of the topics under discussion will be:

• Should there be new housing developments – if so, where and where not?
• What guidance should be provided to assist with siting and design of new houses?
• Where is the good croft land in your area that should be retained?
• How can our communities be more attractive to live and work in?
• How can we make the most of our natural and built environments?
• How can we retain more of our resources on the islands?
• How can we lead more sustainable lives?

There will be plenty of opportunity for you to add your own experiences, opinions, and ideas on the night.

So come along to BALIVANICH COMMUNITY CENTRE (NEW GYM) on THURSDAY 18th MARCH or COTHROM on THURSDAY 25th MARCH. Both events are from 5.30 – 8.30pm with refreshments served from 4.45pm
